The 6 stages of trust in every relationship 2017-11-08T10:45:03-05:00 Dave Willis

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

Stage 6: Comfort

When you truly trust someone, you’ll know it because you’ll feel completely safe and comfortable with them. They’ve earned your trust and you’ve freely given it. You don’t doubt their actions or motives. You choose to believe the best in them, because they’ve consistently shown you the best in themselves. When you get to this stage of trust, you’ve found something priceless and precious so make sure you do everything in your power to keep it! If someone has done everything to earn your trust, but you still don’t have “comfort,” it may be because of trust issues in your life or scars from your past that you need to explore on your own to find healing. Don’t punish the people in your life for wounds inflicted by others long ago. Find healing and peace so you can wholeheartedly trust again. Trust is the foundation of every healthy relationship, and we ALL need healthy relationships!
