Mr. Donald Trump now seems to have tweeted a message with anti-Semitic associations:

“Donald Trump’s ‘Star of David’ tweet controversy, explained”

Big deal, right?

Did you really expect that this “loutish, unstable man-child”  would really transform himself and become “presidential”?

“The Man’s Not for Changing”

Moreover, his long-standing interest in silencing criticism, offensive enough already in a hyper-litigious private citizen, is still on abundant public display as he seeks to gain control of the executive branch of the federal government:

“Trump Says GOP Rivals Who Break Pledge Should be Barred From Seeking Office (After saying he would break the exact same pledge)”

In the meantime, our more “normal” presidential option has recently undergone lengthy questioning at FBI headquarters in Washington DC.  (For those who don’t pay much attention to politics, that’s not entirely traditional.)  And here’s an interesting item about  one of her many sterling achievements as Secretary of State:

“Benghazi Widow Says Hillary Clinton Has ‘No Right’ to Tell Her to Move On”

Nevertheless, it seems likely — according to very new polling data — that Mr. Trump is taking the Republican Party to a historic defeat:

“Poll:  Hillary Would Lose to Other Republicans But Beats Trump”

But he could still win, because he’s a master prevaricator and manipulator:

“Trump: The Art of the Lie”

(In the item immediately above, please don’t miss the extraordinarily insightful — and, to me, profoundly troubling — interview with Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert.)

And here, in practical electoral terms, is how Mr. Trump might win the White House despite his manifest unsuitability for the presidency of the United States:

“The 270 Project: Try To Predict Who Will Win The Election”

Finally, here’s a powerful, powerful response (from way back in April) to those who, in many cases with increasing anger, declare that people who refuse to vote for Mr. Donald Trump will be responsible for the election of Hillary Clinton:

“Trump Fans, If Hillary Becomes President You’ll Only Have Yourselves To Blame”

“It’s been a race to the bottom,” says Matt Walsh, “and Republicans are winning.”

And here’s another piece, from Jonah Goldberg, which does a good job of explaining why some of us will not, ever, worlds without end, vote for Mr. Donald Trump:

“Hillary, Trump . . . Neither?”

Finally, on a cheerier note:

“Adorable Cats Wearing Hats That Will Make Your Day Way Better”
