LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

Like numerous other religion and theology scholars, I’m preparing for the American Academy of Religion and Society of Biblical Literature conference, which starts tomorrow. I won’t be there till Saturday (if you care), but am looking forward to a jam-packed couple of days of papers, meetings, and catching up with friends.

There are several interesting Kierkegaard sessions this time (we are still celebrating his 200th birthday, after all). I’ll be presenting in the joint session with the Evangelical Studies group and the Kierkegaard, Religion, and Culture Group.

Here is the information:

Evangelical Studies Group and Kierkegaard, Religion, and Culture Group

Theme: Kierkegaard as a Resource for Evangelical Theology

Meesaeng Choi, Asbury Theological Seminary, Presiding

Monday – 9:00 AM-11:30 AM

This session explores how Kierkegaard, a Christian thinker who first and foremost sought to revitalize Christian faith, continues to offer rich resources for contemporary evangelical theology.

Should be an interesting set of papers and a good conversation.
