Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.
I’d like to take a moment today to introduce you all to a new blogger here on Cultivare, Kimberly Hyatt. She’s started off with a bang. Her first post, “Look at the Christians. See How Mean they Are”, generated quite the buzz. If you haven’t read it yet, take a chance to do so.
Here is her bio:
Kimberly Hyatt (MDiv, Princeton Theological Seminary) is Executive Director of the Cathedral Arts Project in Jacksonville, Florida, where she has served the past 10 years. She previously held pastorates at Peace Presbyterian and South Jacksonville Presbyterian churches, and before that worked in government relations for the Food Marketing Institute in Washington, D.C. She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. and her master of divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. During a short stint after college as a reporter for a local newspaper, Kimberly won an award from the South Carolina Press Association for her coverage of ongoing Ku Klux Klan activities in the area. In 2011, she received the Girls Inc. Women of Vision Award for Arts Achievement. Kimberly serves on the Board of Governors for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Trustees for The Cathedral School, and the Advisory Council for Girls Inc. She is a member of the Jacksonville Women’s Network, the Rotary Club of Jacksonville, and the Presbytery of St. Augustine. She was one of 20 Jacksonville citizens chosen for the Inaugural Class of the Jessie Ball duPont Community Building Fund’s Community Coaches.
Welcome to Cultivare, Kimberly! We’re excited to have you on board and we look forward to reading your reflections on the intersection of theology, faith and culture.
