I remember when I was small, going on a weekly trip to the library with my parents and getting to choose exactly 10 picture books each time.  I loved my weekly stack and the feeling of having so many new brightly colored books to read. That trip meant the world to me and children’s books will always have a special place in my memory.

Here are 8 more quotes from children’s books that will bring you back in time and warm you from your toes to the top of your head!

  1. “You’re braver than you believe and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.” – Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne

  2. “Above all watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.” – Charlie in the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl

  3. “I like it better here where I can sit just quietly and smell the flowers.” – The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf

  4. “I’ll eat you up I love you so.” – Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak

  5. “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.”  The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupery

  6. I love you right up to the moon – and back.” – Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney

  7. “A person is a person, no matter how small.” – Horton Hears a Who by Dr. Suess

  8. “Sometimes I’ve believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.” – Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

And here are even more in case you need a bigger dose!
