Last updated on: March 12, 2020 at 11:57 am By Matt Pearson
I read this yesterday over at the Mockingbird website. These words/prayers were convicting, yet important reminders for me as we proceed through this Corona-virus crisis. Sarah Condon provides some excellent perspective. Let’s all be people who pray, are kind, and helpful to those who need us. People I Am Praying For Right Now A pregnant friend who had to cancel her trip to Disney World. My asthmatic dad. All of the older people who are coming to church. All of... Read more

Luke 24:36-48 36 While they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.†37 They were startled and frightened, thinking they saw a ghost. 38 He said to them, “Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your minds? 39 Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.†40 When he had said this, he showed them his... Read more

When Jesus’ followers saw what was going to happen, they said, “Lord, should we strike with our swords?†And one of them struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his right ear. But Jesus answered, “No more of this!†And he touched the man’s ear and healed him. Luke 22:49-50  Have you ever gone ahead of God? “And Grace My Fears Relieved”
Last updated on: February 13, 2020 at 10:44 pm By Matt Pearson
Earlier this week, I listened to a sermon by Winn Collier. In the sermon he referenced a story by Walter Wangerin. It is a moving story, demonstrating a beautiful picture of the Gospel. Enjoy. “And Grace My Fears Relieved” The coming of the Kingdom is like the coming of my father to my brothers... Read more
