By Andy Hale

Katelyn Beaty’s “A Woman’s Place” is remarkably timely for the current the global shifts around gender roles, equality, and identity.

We sat down with the editor at large for Christianity Today, the magazine’s youngest and first female managing editor, to discuss the changes happening in the culture, the theological implications of the gender identity of God, and why that matters for the church

“I think there are some assumptions about gender and gender roles in the absence of a faith and work conversation. A lot of women of my generation find the stay-at-home mom verses the working mom quite tiring,” Beaty said. She added, “So, I wanted to give other women a theological framework for work, to understand the goodness and the significance of their daily work.”

In fact, this book gives a profound the philosophical, theological, and anthropological basis for the fact that women and men are equal in everything.

In addition to her work with Christianity Today, Beaty has written for The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and The New York Times, and has been featured on NPR, CNN, ABC News, Religion News Service, and the Associated Press.
