Eyes of Mercy-take 2Hollywood feature to be made on the power of the Rosary

Several Catholic filmmakers have set out to make a short film that will show the power of our Mother Mary’s Rosary.  This short film will be put out by the non-profit, Vox Dei Productions, and will be released for FREE online so that millions around the world can have easy access to it.

One of the writers of the script, my friend Catholic author Brian Kennelly, told me a little bit about this exciting new project:  “We hope that this film will be unlike anything anyone’s ever seen in the faith-based market. It will be a very mystical film that shows what happens within someone’s soul when the Rosary is prayed for him. It will actually show audiences how God’s grace comes to us through Mary – it will give a very powerful visual to something that is otherwise unseen by our eyes.”

Kennelly has teamed up with fellow Catholic filmmakers, Dennis Crow, Roberto Girault, and Paul Hertel to get the film made. But they need the help of everyday Catholics. They have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the film and are searching for small donations. Their hope lies in a grass roots campaign.

“We want this to be an apostolic thing that people can use to evangelize,” Kennelly said. “We want millions of people around the world to have easy access to it. But in order to take this route, and not go through a studio and eventually have DVD sales, we need the people to help get it done.”

Hollywood often bombards us with messages contrary to the Gospel, but this group of filmmakers are trying to inspire us to a deeper love of Our Lady, and just before the 100th anniversary of her apparitions at Fatima. I am anxiously looking forward to seeing this film and can’t tell you enough how much I support their efforts. Let us all show them our support by going to the link below and donating, even if it is only $1.

You can learn more about this exciting film by watching their video, and please share it with everyone you know!
