LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

Today I am really excited to reveal a new feature here at The Catholic Book Blogger. Thanks to a newly forged partnership of sorts between Lighthouse Catholic Media and CBB, I will be highlighting CD talks weekly. For my first talk I have chosen Evangelizing Catholics: The Bible, The Eucharist and The New Evangelization by Dr. Scott Hahn.

evangelizing_catholics_coverI found this talk to be timely and very informative. With all the buzz about the New Evangelization in recent years Scott provides the listener with a great guide on what the New Evangelization is all about. This CD is the perfect companion to his recent book Evangelizing Catholics: A Mission Manual for the New Evangelization. You can find my review of the book here. You may also be interested in my interview with Scott on this book.

In this informative and dynamic presentation, Dr. Scott Hahn discusses why the New Evangelization is the greatest priority of the Church at this time, and how we are all called to share our faith. He shows how the Eucharist relates to explaining Jesus’ death and resurrection, and how Blessed John Paul II’s call for a New Evangelization must be based on the Eucharist.

“Dr. Hahn explains with clarity the reasons behind this most necessary task of evangelization.” Julie – Sterling, VA  “Dr. Hahn has made evangelizing more simple yet also more scary. When explained this way, how can I be Catholic and NOT evangelize?”  Mike – Hamilton, NZ

“Highly informative and inspiring! I’ll be eagerly looking for opportunities to share what I have learned with my nonCatholic friends!” Jane -Kansas
City, MO

“I feel like I now understand the New Evangelization and my role in it.”  Julie – St. Petersburg, FL “I now understand how my life impacts the New Evangelization.”  Christopher – Anaheim Hills, CA

“The best information that I have heard on the what and why of the New Evangelization and what it means to us.”  Charlie – Hunt Valley, MD

“This CD has renewed my commitment to go out and reach baptized men and women at all levels who have not yet been evangelized.” Moses – Lilongwa, Malawi, Africa

“This should be required listening for all who are called to evangelize—in other words, all of us.” Jeff – Steubenville, OH

“Though Scott Hahn has amazed us with powerful talks, he continues to do so with new, deeper information. Be sure to listen to the end and hear a profound statement about the Eucharist and the New Testament that we need to share!” Monica – Wichita, KS
“What is the New Evangelization? Who better to ask than Scott Hahn, who has catechized all of us cradle Catholics so well. Excellent CD!”  Helene – Fayetteville, NC
