Last Sunday we celebrated Trinity Sunday or Bad Analogies Day.
This week we celebrate a trinity of holidays and feast days.
We as Catholics celebrate the feast of Corpus Christi.
The feast of Corpus Christi was proposed by Saint Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church, to Pope Urban IV, in order to create a feast focused solely on the Holy Eucharist, emphasizing the joy of the Eucharist being the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ. Having recognized in 1264 the authenticity of the Eucharistic Miracle of Bolsena, on input of Aquinas, the pontiff, then living in Orvieto, established the feast of Corpus Christi as a Solemnity and extended it to the whole Roman Catholic Church. Lightyear™ Movie@Pontevedrian: Good morning, Buzzheads! Today Buzz is celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ by spending several hours in adoration of our Eucharistic Lord! Why not join your favorite space hero in a verse or two of “Tantum ergo”? #Lightyearfacts

We as Americans and some other countries celebrate the importance of Fatherhood on Father’s Day.
Father’s Day is a holiday of honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society. In Catholic countries of Europe, it has been celebrated on March 19 as Saint Joseph’s Day since the Middle Ages. In the United States, Father’s Day was founded by Sonora Smart Dodd, and celebrated on the third Sunday of June for the first time in 1910. The day is held on various dates across the world, and different regions maintain their own traditions of honoring fatherhood. (Source Wikipedia)
The Simple Catholic@simplecatholic1: Today is an epic day! It’s Father’s Day AND Juneteenth AND my wedding anniversary AND the Feast of Corpus Christi AND the anniversary of the promulgation of the Nicene Creed.

We as Americans we celebrate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans on the newest federal holiday known as Juneteenth.
Juneteenth marks the anniversary of the announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army general Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865, proclaiming freedom for enslaved people in Texas. Originating in Galveston, the holiday has since been celebrated annually on June 19 in various parts of the United States, often broadly celebrating African-American culture. The day was first recognized as a federal holiday in June 2021, when President Joe Biden signed the JuneteenthNational Independence Day Act into law. (Source Wikipedia)
Father Josh Johnson@frjoshjohnson: On the Solemnity of Corpus Christi our nation honors Juneteenth. This is the oldest celebration of Black emancipation in the USA. I invite you to join me in offering a Eucharistic Holy Hour of Reparation for the sins of slavery committed against our Black ancestors in our nation.
When I become an extraordinary minister of holy communion the first person I distributed the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Christ to under the appearance of unleavened bread, was my father. The man who taught me the importance of loving and praying to Jesus and the blessed mother. The man who was known as the guy who went to church. The man whose last real words that I remember saying to me was ‘I haven’t spent enough time with Jesus today’. The context of that phrase was said when I asked my dad after Holy Thursday Mass if he wanted to go to adoration afterwards. He was 83 and spent his whole day praying and going to church. He went to a Novus Ordo church not a TLM.

The first person to give the foster father of Jesus, St. Joseph, Christ’s body and blood was the one who bore it; Mother Mary. St Joseph then helped protect the growing living bread that came down from heaven appearing in human likeness who took the form of a slave to free us from slavery. The living example of this freedom from spiritual slavery is seen in the celebration of end of American slavery on Juneteenth.

As we celebrate the end of slavery, it is best to remember who horrible and horrific it was.
It is also good to remember the history that surround it and some of the heroes that sprang from it.
Jimmy Akin brings us the mystery of Harriet Tubman.
