A Cup of Malt, a Cup of Root

Perhaps a Cup of Hot Choc instead
We’ll get a table near the street
In our old familiar FSC place
You and I, face to face

A Cup of root, a Cup of Malt
It all depends upon the Diet your on this week.
I’ll meet you any time you want, Will get some grub
In our Irish Pub

Oh, I know it’s not much, but it’s the best I can do

Living in the time of Covid

My gift is my original poem

and this one’s for you

And you can tell everybody this is your poem
It may be quite simple but now that it’s done
I hope you don’t mind
I hope you don’t mind
That I put down in this post
How wonderful life is while you’re in the world

Elton John speaks out after walking off stage mid-concert

If a Lay Irish Carmelite is Distracted, she’ll get tired and want to go to sleep.
But she will be distracted by another thought and want something to eat.
She’ll try to go the kitchen
She won’t want any bread
But will turn on the computer instead

She’ll watch something sad that makes her start to cry
Her husband will than ask her, Why?
What are you crying about?

This movie on the computer she’ll say back to him.
And her husband moved to stop her tears
Will say Let’s laugh instead.

He’ll put on Fr. Ted which always does the trick.

Fr. Ted will be hatching some scheme that will get him in trouble.
Fr. Dougal will be clueless
Fr. Jack as drunk as a skunk.
And Mrs Doyle will offer everyone some Tea.

Having laughed her self silly till her sides ached very much,
She’ll then put on some Irish Music and dance around the room.

Were On the One Road

Traveling down the N-17

Because It’s a Long Long Way from Clare to Here.

Lets stop at rest at the Red Rose Cafe.

She’ll then hug her husband and hug and hug him for awhile.

Then they’ll look at each other,
She’ll look him in the eye,
And he’ll say
Want to renew our wedding vows?

She looks at him and smiles,
And thinks to herself,
With a Gleam in her eye,

(Don’t put that in this poem for the world to see)

She thinks…

She Thinks…

Yes, she begins to think of something else.
She gets distracted by this thought whatever it is.
It could be about Trump or something long ago.
But whatever it is, this distraction comes upon her,

It makes her tired you know.

And when a Irish Carmelite wife is tired, She just might want..

To Go to Sleep…

Happy Birthday Sweetheart.

Kristin shares a birthday with her twin sister Kathleen Nealon and also with Saint Maria Faustyna Kowalska of the Blessed Sacrament (August 25,1905 – October 5, 1938) who gave us the Divine Mercy devotion. Her religious name is Kristin of the Blessed Sacrament.
