Several people who I know and like a lot are collaborating on a new project called Real Spirituality for Real Life. Here’s how they describe it:

We have experience as leaders in church ministries and teaching in colleges, universities and seminaries. We love what we do. We are committed to sharing a faith and makes sense for ourselves and for other people where we find ourselves in life. Sometimes those are difficult places fraught with questions and uncertainty. Other times, we revel in how we see and feel God in the joyous moments of our lives. We want to talk about faith outside of the academy where only a select number can take our classes. And we want to talk about faith outside of local churches where ideas are often bogged down with the insider jargon of Christianity. We just want to keep it real.

This site isn’t for those who have it all figured out (but if you do, please let us know on the contact page!). It’s for the rest of us.

Questioning, yelling at God, sharing stories over coffee, and seeking spiritual practice seem to be the order of the day, and it sounds awesome.

Real Spirituality for Real Life is a blog. And more. We also hope to offer classes and conferences and teleseminars. We want to offer reading groups and ways to connect with the contributing bloggers, and other readers too.

Real Spirituality for Real Life strives to be an online learning community that shares, grows, questions and journeys together in faith
