This is the best news. Robert O’Neill, the man who took the shot that killed Osama bin Laden, recently had a secret wedding ceremony in August that was full of fun details.

First, he wore a special suit created for the occasion. The suit had O’Neill’s favorite quote that was taken from President George W. Bush’s famous speech after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The suit’s collar had the phrase “…and freedom will be defended” embroidered on the collar.

Second, Kid Rock was invited as a guest to the secret wedding and even jumped up onstage for a quick little performance. (Kid Rock, as you may have read, is considering running for Senate.)

Third, he and his wife were posting photos from their honeymoon, even though no one knew they’d gotten hitched!

Isn’t that a great photo? O’Neill has said that he’s battled depression ever since his last mission — so it’s wonderful to see him out there enjoying life. I also enjoyed this post about how much he cares about his critics:
