Nothing says “Love Trumps Hate” like a baseball bat to the side of the head! Am I right?

Hollywood pretends to be tolerant, but celebrities are some of the most intolerant people on the planet, especially of those who have opposing viewpoints. Such is the case with Orange Is the New Black star Lea DeLaria whose recent tweet (now deleted) suggested taking out Republicans and Independents with a baseball bat.

It was a two-part tweet; the first quoting famed composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein: “This will be our reply to violence: to make music more intensely, more beautifully, more devotedly than ever before.”

The follow up stated something much more colorful:

“Or pick up a baseball bat and take out every f—king republican and independent I see. #f—ktrump #f—ktheGOP #f—kstraightwhiteamerica #f—kyourprivilege.”

See? Love Trumps Hate! That’s liberalism for you. But wait! According to a tweet that still exists on DeLaria’s account, we’re all confused about who she really is:

you confuse me with a liberal. I'm a radical I don't preach tolerance, especially against people who oppress me. #fuckoff

If you want to get really depressed, just spend a few minutes reading DeLaria’s “radical” Twitter feed, or better yet, don’t! Someone like this doesn’t need two more seconds in our thoughts.

I, for one, am glad that free speech allows people to say whatever they want. That way, you know exactly who to stay away from! That’s the great thing about freedom: it works both ways!
