This little boy LOVES country music. He loves Dolly Parton and knows all of her songs. Over his spring break, he got to meet her in person and even sang several duets with her! Gage Blackwell’s mom Lynnae set up the visit and videoed their interaction. Dolly talked with Gage, signed autographs, and broke out into song several times.

Gage asked her about other country music stars who were her friends, and sang along with her so well that Dolly said, “We may be going on the road before you know it! We’re gonna have to put your name on the side of my bus: Gage and Dolly. How’s that sound?”

He replied, “That’d be great!”

“Dolly made him feel like the most important person in the room,” Lynnae said. “She was so amazing to just embrace him the way she did. He will never forget her kindness and, as his mother, I will always be grateful for the love she showed to my wonderful son.”

Just glancing at Gage’s Facebook page tells me he is a very special boy! So glad he got to have this unforgettable experience with Dolly.

After singing several of Dolly’s songs, the two performed Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.” See more videos on his Facebook page.
