Sadly, there are so many stories of celebrities admitting they’ve had an abortion, and talking about how much heartache it caused. These stories are sad, but important to let people know how devastating abortion really is! I’m going to do a series of blog posts about some of those stories, hoping we can all learn from their mistakes and pray that God would heal their heartache… and that people will quit seeing abortion as the way to handle an unwanted pregnancy.

Jennifer O’Neill was an actress and Cover Girl model in the 70s. She has become a very strong pro-life advocate and shares her unique story of having an abortion a few years after it had been legalized.

She was in her early 20s and engaged when she found out she was pregnant. She was thrilled, but her fiance was not excited. He said she had to get an abortion. She turned to her parents for advice, but they told her she couldn’t have a baby if the father didn’t want it.

She didn’t know yet what the Bible said about abortion, and she was told “a lie from the pit of hell” that her baby was nothing more than a blob of cells.

She gave in to the pressure, went in for the abortion, and “cried all the way through.” She instantly hated herself and suffered many negative consequences, from depression to 9 miscarriages. But now Jennifer has a message of reconciliation, hope, and healing in Jesus.

Watch her tell her story on the steps of the Supreme Court building. She is passionate about telling people the truth about abortion – that it hurts women, and it’s not just a “quick fix.” “We’re told it’s nothing, and it’s everything.”
