LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

ONE | If you ever find yourself in Northern California and have some time to spend a few days on the coast, you should def hang out a bit in Mendocino. Camp at Van Damme State Park, get your coffee and wifi fix at Moody’s Organic Coffee Bar, but unless you are fumes, keep driving to Fort Bragg for gas. Pictured above as shared via Instagram, @breyeschow, 1) Roasting chocolate mint marshmallows for breakfast, 2) THE bes toilet signage ever at Moody’s and 3) gas price on Tuesday 5/29. My best tweet about the trip IMHO 😉

TWO | I have been hearing a great deal about this book: The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness by Dr. Michelle Alexander. I have only read excerpts, but seems like a powerful read. I plan on getting it, but if you have read it, please let me know what you think.

THREE | Here is a Blog worth subscribing to, First Day Walking, The Blog from Mihee Kim-Kort whose bio reads, “Twin Mom || Pastor’s Wife || Presby Minister || Amateur Writer || Silly Dreamer”

FOUR | Asian Pacific Americans for Progress is holding a nationwide “Vincent Chin 30: Then and Now” hangout June 23rd (1:30EST). This gathering will take place on Google Hangout with leading civil rights leaders from around the country  featuring Congressmember Judy Chu (CA-32), CAIR-SF Executive Director Zahra BillooOCA Executive Director Tom Hayashi, Asian American Justice Center Executive Director Mee Moua and moreGuest Moderator Phil Yu of Angry Asian Man [More Info].

FIVE | Add this one in the “I wish I would have thought of that!” File in response to Pastor Worley’s recent sermon, The God Article pitched the response, A Wickedly Beautiful Response to NC’s Latest Gay Bashing Minister

My Friday Five is somewhat of a mishmash of stuff I have recently seen around the interwebs, some of which I actually kept track of and others, I just remembered upon the writing of this post. Enjoy.
