Are You Weary And Burdened?
Let’s be honest. We all get weary and burdened at times. Life often has a way of beating us down physically and mentally. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get some rest?
A Message From Jesus
It’s no accident that you’re reading this post. Jesus has a message for you. It’s the answer you are seeking. I want you to pause, take a deep breath and read his words slowly and carefully. Go ahead, you won’t regret it…
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, NIV)
That’s the invitation. All you have to do is come to him and he will give you the rest you seek. What do you think? Are you willing to give it a try?
Let’s Pray Together…
Lord Jesus – I come to you weary and burdened and I need some rest. Sometimes I don’t feel like I’ll ever be able to relax. As I read your words, however, I feel hopeful because I know that you are with me. I’m going to give you a chance to deliver on your promise. Please give me the rest I so desperately need. Thank you. Amen.
Do you feel even a tiny bit better? I suspect you do. That peace (no matter how small) is the answer to your prayer. This is not fluff. Prayer really works. Keep turning to Jesus throughout the day and let his words echo in your mind. Then continue to ask him over and over to grant you the rest you need. He won’t let you down.
