matthew currie astrology daily skySometimes a weekly forecast can stand on its own, and sometimes what’s going on in a given week has to be considered within the context of a larger transit. This is one of those weeks where the smaller transits could serve to be the straw that broke the camel’s back. Here’s hoping that camel deserved it.

The big ongoing issue is the Jupiter-Uranus opposition (more about that HERE). This opposition is compelling and brings lots of new ideas and initiatives, but it’s inherently a little frustrating. In order to deal with frustration, you’ve got to be both logical and be able to use your drive properly and efficiently.

Sorry. Those two things just aren’t on the menu this week.

Mercury (the planet in charge of logic and communication) is taking a beating this week, with difficult aspects from the Sun, Jupiter, and Chiron. This means that your words and thoughts (or undoubtedly those of others, because it’s always other people who cause the trouble, am I right?) will at various times be batted around by Egos and Exaggeration and Emotional Pain. Ouch. Yeah, better proofread that letter to your boss before you send it. Better yet: proofread it, then untie it from that brick, and then don’t toss it through the boss’s window.

As for “drive”? That’s Mars. Mars enters Taurus on Thursday and stays there until April 21st. Lots of people will tell you that Mars in Taurus is sexy and sensual and knows how to have a good time. Yes, that’s generally true, but when you combine the planet that rules rage with the temperament of a Bull, well… images of china shops and Pamplona and such spring naturally to mind.

So, this week? Yes, go ahead and present your Big Plan. Go ahead and act on your frustrations. But please: warn everyone ten minutes in advance to head for the emergency exits, especially if you want to present your Big Plan on Saturday, when there’s a Full Moon in Virgo.
