How to MOVE FORWARD After Losing Someone You Love 2017-11-08T12:42:52-04:00 Ashley Willis

LOGO Patheos Explore the world's faith through different perspectives on religion and spirituality! Patheos has the views of the prevalent religions and spiritualities of the world.

So, instead of looking back at the grave and trying to cling to the past that we miss, we have the promise and comfort of being continuously in the presence of God and with our loved ones for eternity!!

So, instead of looking back at the grave and trying to cling to the past that we miss, we have the promise and comfort of being continuously in the presence of God and with our loved ones for eternity!!

No more grief or goodbye’s.

When we fix our eyes on the hope we have in Heaven, we can see that each day is not pulling us further away from our loved one and the memories we shared. Instead, each day is pushing us closer to our future with them in Heaven! So as we move forward with our life, even with grief, we can find comfort in knowing that moving forward doesn’t mean moving on. As long as we are moving towards Jesus, moving forward means moving closer.

About the Author: Daniel Brooker is a widower to his beloved Lyndsie, father to Ethan and Aubrey and encourager helping anyone who is facing grief, hardship or struggles to find hope and healing.  Just recently, Daniel married Brittany Price, who also lost her husband at a young age.  Together they are raising their five kids in Atlanta where they write and speak about faith, grief, blending families, and adjusting to their “new normal.”

Thank you for reading, sharing, and responding.  If you or someone you know has recently lost a loved one and they are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, you may want to check out our new devotional, 31 Verses and Prayers for the Anxious Mind and Heart, by clicking here.

You are not alone!  God loves you, and He still has wonderful plans for your life.  Let Him be your strength and comfort.  You will get through this, Friend.
