Prayer is one of the most powerful tools we have in marriage. When we pray with and for our spouse, God has a way of softening our hearts towards Him and one another. And, it puts our hearts in the right place and moving in the same direction.

Husbands, if you aren’t currently praying with your wife, try starting today. Don’t worry about saying the “right” words; just talk to God like you would talk to a friend. Thank Him for your wife and family, ask Him to help cultivate a strong marriage, and praise Him for the blessings He brings into your life every day. Your wife will love that you are taking the time to pray with and for her, and God will bring the two of you closer to Him and one another through this daily practice.
