4. “I love spending time with you.”

As wives, we don’t want to feel like our husband is spending time with us just because he has to. We want him to want to spend time with us. And, his desire is displayed through his words AND our actions.

Husbands, you can let your wife know that you love spending time with her by calling her or texting her throughout the day. Even though you are physically apart, you can still spend a little time together during the day through those conversations. It’s also important to prioritize having a regular date night together. This allows you both to look into each other’s eyes, do something fun together, and really connect without everything else vying for your attention.

Even when you aren’t on a date night, one simple way you can let your wife know that you love spending time with her is to give her your best attention by putting down the smartphone or other devices. Ask her how her day was, and be willing to answer any questions she asks you. Then, tell her how much you love being with her. She will see how much you truly care for her through these thoughtful words and actions.
