Money, unfortunately, doesn’t grow on trees. So, we can’t pretend that it does.

My husband, Dave, and I have certainly experienced our share of financial pressure, and most of it was due to our own naivety when it came to credit cards. We learned the hard way that the borrower becomes a slave to the lender. In other words, the more you borrow, the more you can get in over your head.

If you and your spouse are in financial strain right now, please know that there is hope. Even if you hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt and dread getting your statements every month, you can still set a budget and gradually pay it off. Some great resources can be found at DaveRamsey.com. There are also some amazing apps out there that make budgeting much easier. One I would recommend is called, Every Dollar. If these websites or apps don’t seem like your speed, you can always set up an appointment with a local financial planner. Whatever you choose, just make sure you take immediate action and stick to your plan together. You can do this!
