Compliment her appearance AND efforts often.

2.  Compliment her appearance AND efforts often.

Recently, I met with a young wife and mom who was experiencing marital problems.  Through our conversation, she mentioned that she often felt belittled by her husband because he would criticize most household tasks that she completed.  He would come home from work and immediately point out that the dishes were loaded incorrectly in the dishwasher and the towels weren’t folded right–one thing after another.  Over the years, this constant criticism has taken a great toll on their relationship, and it has made their sex life forced and unenjoyable.

Our words carry great weight with them, and criticism is toxic to our marriage.  Husbands and wives can’t compliment each other too much.  Kind words to one another are vital to a thriving marriage.

Husbands, instead of dwelling on what your wife should’ve done or she’s doing wrong,  focus on all the things she’s doing right.  And, TELL HER about it–OFTEN.  This will do wonders for your marriage and sex life.
