4. Refusing to Put Down Your Smartphone/Laptop/Etc.

My husband, Dave, and I blog about this often, because it is a HUGE issue for so many couples…including ourselves. We are in a device-obsessed society that is constantly plugged-in and but disengaged from real, face-to-face conversations. We MUST put down the laptop, tablet, and smartphone, and look into the eyes of our loved ones. They are so much more important than a social media status, news story, or blog. All of that stuff can wait. As my husband always says, “Time is the currency of relationships.” Let’s give our families our BEST time and attention–uninterrupted and unplugged.
