Sadly, it is Japan that suffers the most from Fukushima's meltdown. As I give thanks to the Great Salmon for their life-giving abundance, I offer up prayers for the people and land of Japan. Read more

The Weight Of A University

Last updated on: September 4, 2013 at 12:06 am   By Sterling

Last week I found myself on the Glasgow University campus and was struck by the feel of it. The area taken up by University buildings, old and new, is quite large, and the whole of it has a certain weight to it. There’s a sense of something deep there. Some of the University buildings are very old. The architecture looms large. Certainly that’s part of the weight, but not all of it. There is something else. I want to say... Read more

London Calling: connecting with big cities

Last updated on: August 16, 2013 at 1:57 pm   By Traci

Cities can get a bad rap in modern paganism, especially in modern witchcraft. We idealize the countryside, dreaming of our little witches' cottage, and demonize the dirty ole towns. But cities are our unique creations, reflecting human creativity and culture like no other. This week Traci shares her tips for connecting with a true megacity -- London, England. Read more

Starting From Ignorance

Last updated on: August 13, 2013 at 8:27 pm   By Sterling

Last week I spoke of my children, this week I have a conversation with my Dad. I explore how growing up with the Jewish practice of questioning everything is what brought me to a distinctly Pagan path. Passing Faith To The Next Generation

Last updated on: August 7, 2013 at 12:45 pm   By Sterling

Perhaps you may think that the only Faith I gave my children was agnosticism, but it is in my questioning that my conversation on faith begins. That lack of knowing is where experience takes hold. This is the Faith that I have given to my children, and I am very proud to say that each of them have embraced it with dignity. Read more
