In this episode of Apostates Anonymous, co-hosts Keith Giles and Matthew Distefano share personal stories and cautionary tales of all the ways they’ve been screwed, cheated, ripped-off, lied to, and exploited by Christian Non-Profits, Churches and Christian-owned companies over the years.

Your mileage may vary, but these stories are sure to make you think twice before going to work for a Christian organization.

As Matthew and Keith share their negative experiences, it’s a good idea to keep in mind that not every Christian business is shady, but enough of them have tried to take advantage – in more ways than one – of their ministry status as a way of failing to live up to their end of the bargain.

If nothing else, be sure to get everything in writing and don’t let them pull the “it’s a ministry, brother!” card when it comes time for them to pay you for the work you’ve done.

What are your experiences?
