Why Did God Create Us?
Last updated on: November 21, 2018 at 9:58 am By Andrew Farley
Loretta called in to our radio program from Virginia to ask: What is our purpose here on Earth? Why are we here? “To serve the Lord!” someone shouts. Well, maybe that’s what we end up doing to some degree. But Acts 17 tells us that God is not served by human hands as if He needs anything from us. Our God doesn’t need us to serve Him! So, what was God’s real purpose in creating us? In this short video... Read more

Is God Ever Disappointed in You?
Last updated on: September 25, 2018 at 4:26 pm By Andrew Farley
Oro from Toronto called in to our radio program to ask for my thoughts on the following statement made by his friend: “When we obey God, He is delighted. When we disobey God, He is disappointed.” Is God disappointed in us when we sin? Does He have expectations that He holds over us? Oro’s questions brought on a very interesting discussion that I think will be helpful as you consider God’s attitude toward you in good times and in bad. Read more

The (Living) Word of God
Last updated on: August 28, 2018 at 7:15 pm By Andrew Farley
What is a healthy perspective on Bible study? How about when we don’t seem to have the time or the energy for reading the Bible very much? And if we’ve lost our enthusiasm for studying the Word, how might we regain it? These were Pam’s questions when she called in to our radio program. In this short video clip, I address Pam’s concerns about Bible study, and I encourage her with the simple truth about God’s presence, no matter what... Read more

Why God’s Grace Is Limitless
Last updated on: July 31, 2018 at 10:01 am By Andrew Farley
“That’s hyper-grace! Too much grace! You need to balance grace and truth!” We hear these sort of statements all the time in the Christian world. But should we really try to tone down or put limits on God’s grace? In a way, wouldn’t that actually end up hurting us? Wayne called in to our radio ministry to ask about grace and how it relates to finding victory over sin. Check out this short video clip on God’s limitless grace and... Read more

Guilt About An Abortion

Real Victory Over Pornography

Take Up Your Cross Daily?
Last updated on: May 22, 2018 at 11:03 am By Andrew Farley
In Luke 9:23, Jesus tells the crowd to “take up their cross daily.” But the word “daily” is not found in many reputable manuscripts. Also, it is not found in the parallel teachings of Jesus that we see in Matthew 16:24 and Mark 8:34. So do we need to kill our “selves” spiritually every day? This was Cynthia’s question when she wrote in to our ministry. In this short video clip, I address Cynthia’s question and discuss what it means... Read more

What Does it Mean to Abide in Christ?
Last updated on: May 2, 2018 at 11:51 am By Andrew Farley
Jesus said the opposite of abiding is being “apart” from Him. He also said anyone who does not abide in Him is like a branch that is gathered and burned. Finally, the apostle John writes that anyone who confesses that Jesus is the Son of God abides in Him. It sounds like abiding is a pretty black-and-white thing. Still, so many have turned abiding into a work or a walk. But is abiding a moment by moment decision we must... Read more

The Sermon on the Mount and the Lord’s Prayer
Last updated on: April 16, 2018 at 11:32 am By Andrew Farley
Matthew 5 and 6 present us with the Sermon on the Mount and the Lord’s Prayer. Both of these contain teachings that are not merely difficult but impossible: Cut off your hand in your fight against sin? Pluck out your eye too? Get right with others before giving your sacrifice on the altar? You’ll be answerable to the Sanhedrin? In danger of the fires of Hell? Don’t be like the Gentiles? Be perfect like God? Not forgiven unless you forgive... Read more
