Once upon a time there was a group of people who were the caregivers of the world, also called empaths. The world was so happy that these empaths existed because at one point or another we all need to be nurtured. There was also another group. This group looked innocent. They welcomed the empaths help with open arms. The problem was the group was not innocent, they were narcissists and they pretended to be broken, with the inability of helping themselves. The narcissists hung out in their dumpster that was filled with broken pieces, some very sharp and hurtful. Although the empaths weren’t sure they wanted to be there, the core of who they were was to fix; to help, and so they sat in the dumpster with the narcissists. Over time they just got used to the abuse. They sacrificed their own happiness. The empath bled. The narcissist never even noticed because they were busy looking for another fixer just in case the empath didn’t survive their injuries.

Empath Traits

Certain noises are annoying (food chewing, loud music, Styrofoam, repetitive noises, etc).
You need to be alone in order to recharge.
Crowds can be overwhelming.
You can be introverted or extroverted depending upon who you are hanging out with.
You want to heal everyone.
If one person in the group that is upset, you want to help them.
You might get 100 great reviews (or love), but it is that 1 not so good review that you focus on.
You attract narcissists – and have visited the dumpster before.

Dumpster diving is dangerous, and it costs much more than might think. You deserve to shop in a fancy boutique. You owe it to yourself to have a happily ever after. Remember that empaths attract the narcissists. You must be on the look out for them and keep your energy/vibration high (try this to help). The narcissist doesn’t want to be fixed no matter how much they pretend they need your help, and dumpster diving guarantees you’ll find one or more that will pretend they need you – all the while sucking your energy. Little by little, without even realizing it, the empath begins to lose pieces of themselves.

MEDITATION
If you’re feeling as if you are chained by life’s circumstances and spending too much time dumpster diving – try this meditation – Close your eyes and envision heavy chains wrapped around you. See your guide or angel step forward with just one key. Your guide/angel unlocks the lock and slowly the chains begin to drop. With each chain you shrug off the more you feel like yourself and the less you tied down.

Remember – there’s always someone on the other side to help you. Don’t get lost in your pain where you lose your path. Don’t allow another to pull you away from your path or convince you that you are less than who you are. You are beautiful and you are strong, and you can overcome whatever it is you face today, tomorrow, and after.

Empaths know better, but they often don’t believe they deserve better. How does this end? It depends on your own self-worth.
