What Philip Yancey Can Teach Us About Shame
Last updated on: January 15, 2026 at 8:39 am By Adrian Warnock
Another year begins. Another Christian celebrity scandal emerges. Generally I refuse to comment on these, although my heart sinks a little more with each of them. Last updated on: January 5, 2026 at 4:12 pm By Adrian Warnock
Writing a book, or for that matter a blog, can be a difficult task these days. When it comes to getting people to read your work it is much harder than it used to be. You feel like you are fighting against computer algorithms that reward controversy, negativity, and basically anything that creates strong emotions. But those algorithms are fed by what WE read, click on, like, share and review. If I had one plea to anyone reading this article... Read more

Interview: PJ Smyth & See No Evil – God the Shed and my Dad
Last updated on: December 19, 2025 at 9:25 pm By Adrian Warnock
I interviewed my friend and hero Peter John Smyth (“PJ”) who many of my connections will remember fondly as a passionate preacher and Christian leader. Among other things we spoke about his experience of blood cancer, and what it was like being the son of the man whose scandal led to the Archbishop of Canterbury resigning. This covers some of the same same territory as the recent See No Evil documentary. It is full of hope and will help trauma survivors... Read more

Last updated on: December 23, 2025 at 4:11 pm By Adrian Warnock
Maturity, compared to the beginning of our journey, does not consist of emotional warmth or intense affections. In fact, many of the most outstanding Christians look back with a kind of regret to the earliest days of their faith, when, although their understanding was limited and their grasp of Gospel truths was very unclear, they felt a deep spiritual fervor. Remembering this is both humbling and refreshing, but they cannot recover the same feelings. Read more
