\u00a0<\/p>\n

Achieving Wealth Includes \u201cArmoring\u201d Yourself Against Adversity<\/strong><\/h2>\n \u00a0<\/strong>Yes, to achieve true wealth, you must learn to armor yourself against adversity.\u00a0 What does this mean?\u00a0 The American Heritage Dictionary identifies the word \u201carmor\u201d to mean \u201ca metallic protective covering against weapons.\u201d\u00a0 This is the definition most of us are familiar with.\u00a0 But another definition is \u201cA safeguard or protection.\u201d\u00a0 And Ephesians 6:11 tells us:\u00a0 \u201cPut on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil\u2019s schemes.\u201d<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n You need to remember that, as a Child of God, you have the power to \u201csafeguard or protect\u201d yourself against negative thoughts when adversity hits.\u00a0 Everyone faces adversity at one time or another.\u00a0 Yet God has given you the power to overcome any challenge easily, if you rebuke, or \u201carmor\u201d yourself, against the fearful thoughts bombarding you.<\/p>\n Achieving Wealth Means You \u201cArmor\u201d Yourself Against Negative Thoughts<\/strong><\/h2>\n**** ** ****Negative thinking is a bad habit.\u00a0 If you truly understood how powerful your thoughts are that every thought or word you express MANIFESTS<\/em><\/strong> that very thing, you would do everything in your power to break this bad habit.<\/p>\n So, you must learn to say \u201cSTOP\u201d<\/em><\/strong> when a negative thought occurs.\u00a0 And then you take a deep breath and say, \u201cI KNOW<\/em><\/strong> there is a solution to this challenge, and I THANK YOU GOD<\/em><\/strong> for showing me the way.\u201d\u00a0 1 Timothy 1:7 states: \u201cFor God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.\u201d<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n Your \u201cArmor\u201d Will Block the Fear Bombarding You<\/strong><\/h2>\n****** ** \u00a0<\/strong>For example, what happens if you lose your job?\u00a0 Most people fly into a panic. And FEARFUL<\/em><\/strong> thoughts bombard them as they think of all the reasons they can\u2019t get another job:<\/p>\n ** \nThe economy is really bad right now and there aren\u2019t many good jobs out there.<\/li>\nThere are ten people for every one job available. I\u2019m not going to have any luck.<\/li>\nI\u2019m too old to get another job. Companies want younger people today.<\/li>\nI don\u2019t have the skills needed to get a really good job.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n ** The list of reasons you WON\u2019T<\/em><\/strong> find a job goes on and on.\u00a0 And since THOUGHTS ARE THINGS<\/em><\/strong>, this typically ends up with you remaining unemployed month after month.<\/p>\n ** This Man Shows You How He \u201cArmored\u201d Himself<\/strong><\/h2>\n ** A man in our church revealed that he was laid off from his job right before Christmas. He immediately went into a state of panic and fear!\u00a0 He wondered, \u201cHow will I pay my bills?\u00a0 How will I meet my mortgage payment?\u00a0 How will I take care of my family?\u00a0 It\u2019s Christmas!\u00a0 How will I be able to provide gifts for my children?<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n ** As these fear-based thoughts flooded his mind, he said out loud \u201cNO!\u00a0 I will NOT give in to fear!\u00a0 I know that I am God\u2019s child and will be taken care of.\u00a0 For me to be unemployed would be for God to be unexpressed, and this is impossible! I know there is an even better job for me, and I thank you God for it right now!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n ** He went home and told his wife and kids what happened, but explained that he knew God was in control, and they would all give thanks for that better paying job.\u00a0 Sure enough, he had a better paying job within the month.\u00a0 His conviction that he would be provided for allowed the Universe to provide.<\/p>\n ** Another Man Gave in to Fear<\/strong><\/h2>\n ** About one year after this man shared his story, I turned on the news one evening and listened with sadness as the newscaster relayed a story about a man who had just shot and killed his wife while in a drunken stupor.<\/p>\n ** Apparently, this man had been LAID OFF FROM WORK AT CHRISTMAS <\/em><\/strong>one year ago, about the same time as the man I discussed earlier.\u00a0 This man chose to fall into victimhood.\u00a0 When he was unable to find another job, he began drinking heavily and subsequently began physically abusing his wife and kids.\u00a0 When she threatened to leave and take the kids, this horrible tragedy happened.<\/p>\n ** One Man Chose the High Road, Another Chose the Low Road<\/strong><\/h2>\n ** I was struck by the fact that both men had the same identical problem, getting laid off from their job at Christmas.\u00a0 One chose the HIGH ROAD<\/em><\/strong>, trusting that God would provide, and had a job within a month, the other chose the LOW ROAD,<\/em><\/strong> falling into victimhood, with a disastrous end.<\/p>\n ** These different points of view are a result of our negative programming and mindset that so many have embraced.\u00a0 If I were to share the truth with this victim, he would probably shoot me as well!\u00a0 The truth is that this victim believed in lack and limitation, not abundance and God\u2019s blessings.<\/p>\n ** Another Man Chose the High Road<\/strong><\/h2>\n ** So many people verbally express gratitude for their blessings, while secretly BELIEVING<\/em><\/strong> that they won\u2019t last.\u00a0 I know a man who heard rumors at the factory where he worked that lay-offs were coming.\u00a0 All the men he worked with walked around saying, \u201cI wonder when we\u2019re gonna get our pink slip!\u201d\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n ** This man chose to take the HIGH ROAD <\/em><\/strong>and trust that God was taking care of him.\u00a0 Every time he heard these negative comments, he armored himself against negative thoughts and silently said, \u201cNO!\u00a0 I will not accept this!\u00a0 I know as Your Child, dear God, that You always take care of me and <\/em>I THANK YOU for providing.\u00a0 I am blessed.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n ** Sure enough, later that month his co-workers began receiving their pink slips.\u00a0 When the lay-offs ended, this man still had a job.<\/p>\n ** What will you do when your next crisis hits?\u00a0 Will you take the HIGH ROAD <\/em><\/strong>or the LOW ROAD?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n ** This Week\u2019s Course of Action<\/u><\/strong><\/h2>\n ** I suggest you do a little \u201carmoring.\u201d\u00a0 This involves anticipating the very worst things that can happen to you, and how you will handle them.\u00a0 For example, you may ask:<\/p>\n ** QUESTION:<\/strong>\u00a0 What if I get laid off?\u00a0 How will I handle this?<\/p>\n ** ANSWER:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n ** I armor myself against negative thoughts.\u00a0 I know as a Child of God that, for me to be unemployed would be for God to\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0be unexpressed, and this is impossible.\u00a0 I will THANK GOD <\/em><\/strong>for taking care of me and insuring that new job\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0immediately.<\/p>\n ** QUESTION:\u00a0 <\/strong>What if I get sick?<\/p>\n ** ANSWER:<\/strong><\/p>\n ** I armor myself against negative thoughts.
