President Trump Admits He Didn’t Get Melania a Birthday Present: ‘I May Get in Trouble’ 2018-04-27T11:03:05-05:00 Martha English

On Thursday, President Donald Trump was on “Fox & Friends” and talked about a host of topics.

“Good morning and I picked a very, very special day because it’s Melania’s birthday,” he said. “So I said let’s do it on Melania’s birthday. So, happy birthday to Melania.”

Fox personality Brian Kilmeade asked what the President got the First Lady for her birthday present — an interesting question, since she presumably has everything she could ever want! Trump, of course, didn’t disappoint. He said, “Well, I better not get into that because I may get in trouble. Maybe I didn’t get her so much. I tell you what … I got her a beautiful card. I’m very busy to be running out looking for presents. I got her a beautiful card, beautiful flowers.”

The fact that he said he was appearing on the show on her birthday, as a gift to her, which made liberals go nuts:

Ronald Klain said, “For Melania’s birthday, Trump gave her an interview where he admitted he had spent a night in Moscow, and that Cohen WAS his lawyer on the Stormy Daniels matter — two things previously denied. I can’t wait for Mother’s Day!!”

Others made sure to point out that Melania didn’t get a birthday present and that President Trump was basically the worst human being ever. Of course, if he’d been spotted at Macy’s shopping for the perfect perfume, the would complain that he’s wasting time doing frivolous things. They probably also would portray Melania as a spoiled lady who demanded too much.

This is a classic case of “you can’t win for losing,” and I honestly believe we have a lot more to think about other than the First Lady’s birthday present. Suffice it to say, she’s got plenty. Give it a rest.
