There is no deeper grieving than that experienced between a parent and child, especially a mother and child. It is second only to the grief felt between siblings. But understanding dreams and our life-purpose love-contract with God can help.
This dream was sent to me by email from India concerning death dreams and death warning dreams. I have changed the name of the sender to respect her privacy.
It is so devastating that often our guardian angels will prepare us with a warning in a precognitive dream because we can die of a broken heart, as seen between actresses mother Debbie Reynolds and daughter Carrie Fisher.
Hi Mam,
I actually have query regarding death dreams. My brother passed away in August and recently I saw his dream… that we were carrying him for last rites. And Today again I saw his dream that he is dead and on a bed of last rites but suddenly he gets up and is very very angry and he walks away after scolding me. At the same time my Mom dreamt of my Father being dead who is still alive and my uncle- who is actually dead- is sitting with my Mom.. what do these dreams mean to us??? When my brother had passed away- 2 days prior my mom had dreamt of my brother’s death….
Please help us…
Regards,
Neetunn
From India
Dear Neetunn,
Thank you so much for contacting me. First let me extend my condolences on the passing of your beloved brother and then let me rejoice with you as I tell you what I feel his dream is saying to you.
Our dead loved ones often return to us in our dreams to reassure us that they are doing fine on the other side. I would imagine by the reaction of your brother in the dream that you and your family have been grieving deeply.
Your brother gets up from his bed of Last Rites and is angry and scolds you because your love and sadness has “called to him across space and time.” He is upset that you are upset because he is dead to this physical earth plane but not to Life After Death. He is still very much alive “on the other side” and does not want you to grieve so deeply for him because he can feel it.
Your grief holds him here.
Now dream experts of the Freudian persuasion would say all the people in your dreams are an extension of yourself, which I also believe on a number of different levels.
Your dream may be a duality of you telling yourself not to grieve so deeply because it is not healthy and would not make the brother-within you happy. I also believe we all come from the same Higher Power or God, and so we are connected through Universal Love and Light.
With that in mind perhaps your Inner-self is your brother telling you again to stop grieving because he is not really dead, just on the other side with everyone else in your family who has passed over. They have all returned to where they were before they were born onto the earth, and probably having a great “Welcome Home” party for your brother.
You wrote that “at the same time my Mom dreamt of My Father being dead who is still alive and my uncle- who is actually dead- is sitting with my Mom.”
Your mother and father are grieving so deeply she is connecting to relatives who have passed over and they have come to help her because a broken heart is a very serious condition.
You also wrote, “When my brother had passed away- 2days prior my mom had dreamt of my brother’s death…”
This tells me it was your brother’s time to go “home”.
He had accomplished his life-purpose even if no one else knew it. He and God did know and he was being called home.
Not everyone wants to grow old.
Some souls want to come onto the earth plane, do what they contracted with Heaven to do and then go home-back to Heaven. It is very difficult for the loved-ones they leave behind. But, the fact that your mom dreamed of his death tells me her guardian-angels were giving her a glimpse into the future to prepare her because they knew she would not take this well.
The death of a child can shake the belief system of any parent.
Your mom is probably wondering where your brother really is. Your dead family members want your mother to know that your brother is not alone.
He is with loving family on the other side.
I was just on TV on the Dr. Oz Show in the US talking about this very thing written in my book Surviving Cancerland: Intuitive Aspects of Healing. My book goes into great detail about how our dreams can tell a bit of the future, diagnose our lives and connect us with our loved ones after death. Dreams are Sacred Doorways.
I hope this answers your dream questions and put your mind and heart at more ease. Your brother is fine and you will see him again, on the other side. Help your parents cope with this devastating loss by explaining their dreams to them.
You can’t rush through the steps of grief.
But by understanding that love will keep you together through time and space, and that you can actually visit with your passed over loved ones through the Sacred Dream Doors makes grief a bit less devastating.
Thank you so much for sharing your dreams and love for your brother and family with me. The next time you see your brother in your dreams tell him you understand and love him.
