In 1980 she received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology and health psychology, and developed and administered a holistic center for senior citizens. Part of her dissertation was reprinted in the Clinical Journal of Gerontology. Dr. Kaye integrated pain management and healing into her practice in 1990 working alongside physicians in Santa Barbara and Los Angeles. She has taught yoga at several universities.
