Why Are You An Evangelical? #3

August 20, 2009

As with the previous installments in this series (here and here), we ask only two questions: Why are you an evangelical? And where would you like to see evangelicalism in 10 or 20 years? The first question allows us to reflect on what is of deepest worth in the evangelical tradition, while the second allows us to reflect constructively on how evangelicalism might grow in the years to come.

Our interviewee in this installment, Joshua R. Good, a manager with ICF International, oversees a three-year research study that is designed to foster collaborations between TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families) welfare offices and local faith-based and community organizations. He holds a BA in history from Covenant College and an MTS in religion and politics from Harvard University. Presently he lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and infant son.
